From the treadle to the computerized wonders of today, sewing machines
forever changed the face of quiltmaking. This exhibit of quilts from the
collection of Pat Holly and Sue Nickels shows how quilters have utilized
sewing machines from the 1840s to the present with stunning results.

The National Quilt Museum of the United States and the Metropolis, Illinois, Tourism are proud to combine forces for the 2nd Super City/Quilt City Connection, A Celebration of the Arts between Two Cities. An assortment of quilt exhibits, lectures and interactive demonstrations will be held at both The National Quilt Museum in Paducah and Harrah’s Riverfront Event Center in Metropolis, IL. This year, NQM is offering a variety of demonstrations and informative sessions about the care of everyday quilts. Check the website for schedule of events.
